"You will be an official representative of the Church . . . Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ . . . Greater blessings and more happiness than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children." . . . Thomas S. Monson

Farewell

Today was such a special, wonderful day! Our sacrament meeting was at 9:00am and we had great weather for a December day. Landon had so many friends and family there to listen to him talk. It is such a testament to him of the kind, loving, fun person that he is. Landon's talk was on the 5th article of faith, Being Called of God. He went to the pulpit with his talk in hand that was only in outline form with bullet points. (This would have given me major anxiety!)  He was able to fill the time well and speak from his heart. Good job Landon!
We are so blessed and my heart is so full to be surrounded by so many amazing people. People that have supported my son and helped to mold and shape him into the wonderful young man that he has become!
After sacrament we went to the Village on Main Street Club House for lunch. Dean smoked us some pork and we ate pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw and potato chips. He is a great cook! Salads and desserts were brought by loving family members and friends. I think we ended up feeding 125 people. We even had leftovers and had some for dinner last night.
